Frederick Achom

Frederick Achom is the founder and chairman of the privately held Rosemont Group. The British Virgin Islands-based consumer goods group, founded in 2003, deals in luxury goods and services and is estimated to be worth in the region of 30 million dollars. The business main focus is land and property development in the UK, luxurious kitchens from Italy, investment and consulting on overseas property, restaurants, sales and marketing, telecom sales and recruitment in western Africa and private members clubs worldwide.

Other Business Interests

Since 2002, Frederick Achom has been involved with the Bordeaux Wine Company as a partner. The Bordeaux Wine Company maintains close links with wine merchants and auction houses around the globe and offers timely advice on buying, reselling and investing in fine wines. The Bordeaux wines, created from the grapes grown on the west coast of France, provide an excellent investment at relatively low risk. The Bordeaux Wine Company specializes in "first growth" wines as well as the "super seconds" as stable and secure investments.
The BWC already boasts a UK client list of 2,500 individuals and companies and is in the process of expanding its market abroad. Recently, as a shareholder and partner of the Bordeaux Wine Company, Frederick Achom hosted a wine event that included representatives from the Bordeaux region as well as tastings of the finest first growth wines. One hundred of BWC's highest net-value clients were in attendance at the event and joined in vertical tastings, private seminars and blind tastings of wines from the world's finest estates.

Achom is also the brains behind Crystal members club. Joining forces with Lebanese based Circle Management Group, in creating and launching Crystal members club worldwide. The venture was hugely successful, opening in St Tropez, Lebanon, Dubai, Los Angeles and Beijing all within 2 years.

Honors

Frederick Achom has been chosen to receive several honors, including designation as one of the Most Influential Black Individuals on The UK Black Powerlist in 2011, achieving a status that few in the United Kingdom are successful enough to achieve. The honor, quite often referred to as the list of the most influential working men and women in the country, is awarded to professionals of all types, from businesspeople to entrepreneurs to artists and musicians. Achom's holdings in several businesses, including the Rosemont Brand Group and Bennett Brasseries & Wine Stores, are among the reasons he was chosen for this honor.

Achom also appeared on the 2010 list of The London Evening Standard's 1,000 Most Influential People, selected for his joint venture with business partner Alex Nicholl in launching the Jalouse night club. Achom also achieved this designation for taking a yacht to the Cannes Film Festival, one of Europe's most celebrated fêtes. Power Poker, of Sweden, teamed up with Jalouse to showcase a landmark event hosted by American celubtante Paris Hilton and English rapper Tinie Tempah, who broke out a secret live performance for the VIPs. Other special guests included synth-pop sensation La Roux and Mel B from the English pop group Spice Girls.

He again appeared on The London Evening Standard's 1,000 Most Influential People list in 2011 for Jalouse, noted for attracting the likes of such celebrities as Hilton and American rap artist and entrepreneur P. Diddy. The large, Swarovski crystal-covered venue is located in Hanover Square underwent a redesign to ring in New Year 2012. From featuring live music events and burlesque performances to hosting fashion shows, the upscale club celebrates "sophisticated debauchery." Special guests have ranged from the English electronic duo Basement Jaxx to "The Queen of Burlesque" Dita Von Teese. Jalouse opened its doors in 2009.

Personal

Frederick Achom was born in Nigeria but was educated in private schools in England. He returned to Nigeria to begin his study of medicine but returned to London after only one and a half years. Returning to London he worked in the financial sector for several years. This proved to be an excellent grounding for his future career, giving him the knowledge and experience he needed to strike out on his own. After several failed ventures his first major success was the sale of his business development and consultancy agency, City Business Partners to London city firm EGC. After which he invested heavily into land and property development before diversifying to Investment sales and consultancy.
